RELEASE: CALHaven Coalition Forms to Shape the Future of Advocacy and Policy in California

CALHaven, a statewide bipartisan organization of elected officials and community leaders, has formed to tackle California’s intertwined issues of homelessness, mental health, and public safety. With incumbent District Attorneys, Mayors, Councilmembers representing a total of 5.2 million Californians, as well as scores of former elected officials, religious, and organizational leaders comprising the coalition’s membership, CALHaven emerges as a powerful force in the legislative process.

Spearheaded by Kaitlyn Lavichant, CALHaven’s President and Executive Director and chaired by Aidan Chao, also Chairman of the Los Angeles County Taxpayers Association, the coalition has already displayed enormous impact on the 2024 legislative session and election cycle, with many future victories inbound.
